Buffalo Run 50 Miler

Lawlor, in the lower right hand corner, having just left the 40 mile rest stop…we spotted a buffalo about 2 miles from here….

Austere surroundings for a March run…

Is March in like a lion and out like a lamb?  How about we add an antelope or buffalo to that mix?  Lawlor’s first ultra run of the “season” is the 50-mile Buffalo Run on Antelope Island, UT.  I had a chance to meet Lawlor at the Mile 40 Rest Station, immediately following which he ran on to the finish and I passed a buffalo.  Wild!

An impressive run in its own right, this explains the winter mileage in Bozeman, MT (yep, winter mileage) and serves as a warm-up for July’s 100-miler in Bozeman.  With over 3,800 feet of vertical gain, Lawlor’s legs are powering us to new opportunities for our grant recipients.

Lawlor’s Go Fund Me account condenses his spring and summer fundraising and may be found here.  As always, donations may also be made directly to the Be The Boat Fund here.

Thank you!
